IBEEM's mission is to conduct transformative research that integrates ecology and evolution across scales to advance understanding and prediction of how biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services respond to global changes.
Central Question: What makes the biodiversity of a species, population, community, or ecosystem resilient to global changes?
IBEEM synergizes existing MSU biodiversity research occurring in individual labs and programs across 5 colleges and provides a platform and resources for MSU researchers to interact outside their focal research areas.By uniting researchers across campus, IBEEM facilitates interdisciplinary research and discoveries to increase the impact of biodiversity research.
